Help me finish my system

I have most of my equipment but need to decide on amps. Looking for suggestions.

Currently have:
Pioneer DEH 780mp headunit

DLS UP6 6 1/2 components

Alpine MRD M501 Mono Amp

JL 12w6v2 sub in a ported enclosure (built to spec)

I'm putting comps in the front, no speakers in the rear. Is 300 watts enough for the JL? I was thinking about selling the M501 and getting the Pdx 4.150 to power everything and keep it simple. Should I keep the M501 (550watts rms) for the sub and get another two channel amp for the comps? Is 100x2 sufficient for the UP6's or should I go 150x2? I'm not looking to set off car alarms I just want clean sound that can get a bit loud on occasion.

I heard that aftermarket headunits get poor reception compared to the stock bose? Is this true?

Thanks.

why have you choosen to not install rear speakers? 300 rms is not enough for that sub.it runs 600 rms and 1200 peak. keep in mind you might want an amp that have enough push for that sub while keeping the gain down. also make sure your mono amp is rated at your desired rms at your ohms..also you sub woofer would sound alot cleaner in a tight sealed enclosure. since you mentioned you want clean sound. if you want some good advice you can contact bill or terry at stereorama...727-442-5201. long distance doesnt cost a quarter anymore so make a phone and they will help u out

if you looked up the specs yourself...you'd know what you need in terms of amps...

300wrms is fine for it btw. it can obviously use more but try that if you're not happy then power it correctly or add more woofers. which is what i would do to start with...

set your gains correctly now...

Thanks for the comments but I'm happy with one sub. I'm not a fan of rear fill either. I like my sound up front. I rarely have passengers in the back.

Can someone comment on aftermarket headunit fm reception in a 5th gen?
