I have a Clarion DRX6575z CD player. All of a sudden it wont play CDs and gives me "ERROR 6"

I tried resetting it to no avail.

Anyone here know what this is and how to fix it?

I got it from www.discountcarstereo.com...2 years ago.

But, anyway, nevermind, it started working again.

 

My wife's Clarion gives an error message about 50% of the time. I think it is the same error and according to the manual it means that the disc is dirty or scratched. Unfortunately it will do this even with descs that have just been removed from the case for the first time. Only gives the message when discs are in the head-unit. Never when in the changer.
