phonics digital?

well I'm a college student and I'm kind of strapped for cash right now. i had a pair of really old kicker comps in my trunk that were past on to me. well they worked really well until one of the snapped witch left me with one then i decided to bridge it to the amp and blew that one out. so i was left with only an amp in my trunk. i finally put aside some cash to by something to give me some bass. so i took my 100 bucks went to the neighborhood audio shop and told them to give me something in that price range, well he gave me 2 of these phonics digital 12" subs brand new in the boxes and a nice sealed box for a hundred bucks. sounds good because i saw these on eBay going for 60$ each. what do you guys think, they sound awesome for a hundred bucks. also reading the specs on them what can you guys tell me about the sealed vs ported thing. i was thinking about going back and asking for a ported box instead. but it sounds nice now so I'm not sure if i should mess with a good thing. thanks

p.s sorry about the run on paragraph I'm typing fast. here the link. oh yeah and one more thing i found weird my subs say 1200w and these say 1000 yet there the same exact model. ill post pics tomorrow.
