01 Bose sub not working
After several hours of searching and several more hours in the trunk of my car here's whats up. The Original owner of my Maxima cut the wires leading to the stock sub when he installed an aftermarket amp and sub (plus most likely HU and others) The only cut wires i found were the harness leading directly to the rear sub. The harness for the HU is intact and has no missing or cut wires. He also tapped into the Left rear sound output to use as the input for his stock subs, the splice connector is still there with wires attached.
Now I have reconnected all the stock wires to the sub and still get no sound. I've done this twice to ensure a good connection. Sunday was the 2nd time i did this. I also took a long strand of wires and hook up into the sub output right off the amp harness and got no response when i plugged into the sub connector and plugged directly into connectors on the sub (bypassing the sub electronics). Now I'm looking for some tips on where to go next. I am thinking that the amp isnt sending a signal to the sub at all.
Also be aware the 00 sub cutout fix does not apply to the 01's as that was the first thing I checked.
