Alright, i have read a few posts and come to realize i think you know what u are talking about with AUdio ****...well here is my question/s
i own 97 se 5sp, here is my setup i am thinking about
1. Use the orginal bose deck, puts out enough range of sound and i don'pt want to put out the cash money.
2. I want to take 2 infinity kappa perfect 12's and put them in my trunk wiht the bose system. Here is my plan.
Alright,
1. Run the power for my RF800a2 from the battery by going through the firewall, underneath the seats and up into my trunk. 2. Next i want to take my rear speakers, and strip the wires, and run them into teh amp, that has a built in crossover, do u think that will work? From there i would do the normal hook up, and to power the amp use a PLD, i think thats what it is called.
So finally, i would have
Power from PLD into amp
Sound frequency coming from my back speakers--stripped the wrise and run them into the amp where the RCA's normally go, and then bridge the subs @ 1 ohm...i think thats right...and wahlaa. i be done
U think it will work

it can be done. you need to splice into the the speaker wire between the amp and speaker,( to get proper impedance, use scotch locks). you will need a line out converter (about $20). this will give you the two rca lines to plug into the amp.
i have done this and it works ok, but your low frequency is limited by the bose amp chip. the best way to do it is with an audiolink bose adapotor (around $125)

Yup.. as Alan said about the line level outputs..
you don't really want to go straight into the amp inputs with those wires, since they're a "high voltage" signal. you can either clip the amp very easily, or fry inputs if you do that. I've seen it happen before on different brands of amps.
a line level convertor is your correct option in that case. spend a little extra money and do it right.. your best bet would be to use the bose adaptor amax was talking about.
As for your remote turn-on for the amp, you can tap into the power antenna wire in the trunk, or go all the way back up to the head unit for that.. that'll give you the turn-on signal you need to fire up the amp.. no PLD or anything needed.
This is, of course, if the antenna stays up the whole time the radio/cd is on. some stereos will drop the antenna when you are playing CD. I dunno what 4th gen maxes do in that aspect.
