Out with the old ... in with the older

The old: a 2008 CDA-9887

The older: a 2005 DVI-9990

The main reason for the change was my desire to switch to a 4-way active setup.

A few changes went on the trunk as well to support the change to active.

The "old" setup:

It went from that to this

to this

At a slightly different angle:

From inside the trunk

Another shot

and who needs a trunk light when you have a bunch of "snazzy" blue lights?

I just finished wiring it tonight so I still need to dial everything in.

There is also a bunch of wire and finisher housekeeping I need to do but that will be another day.

thats hot! Love the lights. I heard hanging amps upside down increased heat build up or something. Any concerns with this install? 4 way active should sound really nice once you finish tuning.

They do run warmer upside down because you lose a not of the natural convective cooling. I am not really concerned as where I am in Canada, the ambient temperature rarely goes over 85F.

If it did become an issue, I can always rig up some small 12VDC fans to blow air across the heatsink.

The F1 stuffs came from one of Don's builds where the customer changed his mind.

The B-6 and SSLD6, I bought through Don a while ago.
The B-475 is a few years old. I purchased it used locally.
