Adding Ipod + Subs

I would like to add an Ipod controller and subwoofer amp to my 01 I30 (Pretty much similar an 01 Max). Anyway after research here I came up with the USA Spec PA11-NIS for Ipod controls and the PAC AOEM-NIS2 for the amp rca's/remote wire needed. Does anyone know if these units can be used together because from the looks of it, they plug into the same harnesses into the factory radio? Thanks for any help.

You don't need the AOEM-NIS2. Just splice in RCA's behind your head unit. Read the stickies.

I've read that you can get alternator whine/ general interference with splicing in RCA's. Ofcourse that could of been a grounding issue with that particular person. I rather use the PAC unit anyway.

That's news to me. I've been doing it for years, along with my other people in this forum, including one Moderator who runs a professional install business.

Seriously, save your money. Splice in a cheap set of female RCA's then run a proper set to your amp.

Ok. Ill give it a try. Its pretty much free anyway to do. That way I can add that USspec Ipod controller without issue. Ill report back if I have any problems. Thanks
