anyone know how to make those cheesy kia soul speaker lights?

i tinkered around a little bit with the wires and what not to the speakers. i was able to get an led flashing to the beat of the music but only when the speaker plug isnt attached to the speaker. when i attach the plug to th speaker the led stays on continuously.

also, im looking to add leds into my vents in my dash. mounting everything and all that is easy, but what power source can i tap into so that they only come on when i turn on my headlights? thanks again in advance

Tap the parking light wire. Wire colors are in the stickies.

i've wired things like that in a couple vehicles and i always just cut the power from the ashtray light and used that. I never needed the ashtray light and it only come on when the lights are on. hope that works.

That works too, provided the necessity is not high current.
