So I was uninstalling the radio and mid section and now the ac ( left side non electronic) is not lit up. Anyone have any ideas why this would happen? TIA

What year is your car? This is common in 5th gens. As far as repair, I don't know if there is one...

I have a 5.5 2003. I'm hoping somethingvwas unplugged slightly as I was pulling the radio/climate control out. Then again half of it is lit up so it doesn't look like that's the case.

People have had luck with smacking it. That's all I can offer, short of opening it up and looking for any bad solders.

Haha, sweet. Yea it must be a manufacturing defect - loose connection/solder joint, something of the sort.

If smacking it around doesn't work after awhile...replace the bulb. It's not that bad, I had to do that for mine. Those bulbs are $$$$

Really?? I thought they were soldered LED's.

Maybe 00-01 is different than 02-03

oh yeah? maybe on the 00-01. The 02-03 is just 3 bulbs for the climate control (AUTO climate control if that matters)

Interesting. This happened to me when I put the USA Spec iPod adapter in my car, but I thought nothing of it. I still have all functionality. Hmmmmm, maybe I'll try the smack....

I replaced my bulbs, same problem as you. Right half of bulbs went out. Cost a couple dollars at the stealership.
