10" sub selection for 00 max...10dvq or type r??
So I just installed my alpine 9886 in my maxima and I want to add a sub. Eventually I will be adding some Infinity components(kappa 60.9) to the cab but I want to get a sub first. I work at best buy so I get good deals on alpine and infinity. I was looking to go with either a 10" 10dvq sub or a 10" alpine type r....anyone have experience with these? any feedback would help. I was looking to go with the 500watt alpine amp for either of the subs as well. thanks!

I'm actually running the 12d VQ in a 1.6cu ft. ported box, off of an MRP M500 amp. My head unit is the Alpine 9833.
It sounds great! Honestly you will probably like the 10" better because the 12 can be overwhelming sometimes. I'd probably go with the Infinity 10d VQ since it's got a higher sensitivity and has "VQ" in the name
