Have installation question regarding the NIRD-01 interface

I will be installing my stereo setup hopefully this week, and tonigh I began reading through the installation instructions for all of my equipment. I noticed on the NIRD-01 interface, that there are wires on the harness for the front/rear speakers. I am using an external amp, fed via RCA connectors...do I need to hook the harness wires to the speakers? If so, I'll have to run a single 16-18g wire from the harness to the plus/minus of each speaker.

You can hook them up, but they won't do anything because the wires don't terminate at a driver.

They're there for individuals that don't have an aftermarket setup.

That's what I was looking for...Thank you very much !
I just wanted to be sure that the headlight chimes didn't play through them, so they would need to be hooked up.

Hmmm...I don't know about the circuitry on the newer gen's. I wouldn't be surprised if they did...
