Nissan antenna adapter 12040NI12 blue wire question

What do I attach the blue wire from the antenna adapter to? I've read where it should go to the radio wire harness remote turn on lead, and I've read where it should go to the radio wire harness power antenna lead. This is going into an 07 Maxima. I tried searching here, but couldn't find anything.

Radio wireharness, if your radio only has a remote wire then wire it to the remote.

Are you using an aftermarket deck?If so there should be a solid blue wire in the harness. If you dont attach the blue wire you wont be able to get any reception.

Yes, I'm using a Pioneer DEH-P980BT along with the NIRD-01 interface. The Pioneer harness has one blue/white wire labeld "system remote control", the metra harness has a blue/white wire labeled "amp turn-on".

No it should be just a solid blue wire.I had a Pioneer F700BT and it had the blue wire. You only need the blue/white wire if you re using the stock Bose speakers. Are you looking for the wire on the HU wiring harness?

Yes, the Pioneer harness that came with the head unit only has a blue/white wire that is labeled "system remote control". There is no solid blue wire.

Connect it to the remote turn on.

This works? I have the same issue, Pioneer HU, no blue ant wire, but it does have the B/W system remote. I guess this is a constant 12v power, of a lower amperage? I was thinking of splitting power from the ACC supply, but that seems like a bad idea.

Connecting to the remote turn on will work fine. I have a JVC deck and Bose so I need to connect both the power antenna wire and the amp turn on wire but the deck only has one wire, I connected both wires to the remote wire on the deck and everything works fine.
