Anyone upgrade the alternator on 6th gen?

I'm looking to upgrade the alternator in my 07. Just wondering if there are aftermarket alternators that bolt on or is getting my original rewound a good idea. What kind of amps am I looking at in either direction?

I can feel my engine lagg when the volume is turned up and the bass hits. I am running a JL W7 13.5" and JL 1000/1.

I listen to it REALLY loud.

Upgrade your big three. And your power/ground wires.

umm, i can only think of one local 6th genner that have their alternator upgraded to a HO Excessive Amperage unit. but then again he competes in dB drag...

i still don't think it's necessary for your application though. i have two amps making well over 1kw and have no dimming/engine issues.

What have you done? Batteries, upgrade grounds, caps (although I don't believe in caps)

Batteries? Last I checked, cars only had one.

Wiring first. Then battery.

i just beefed up my grounds. doing that will solve a lot of dimming issues. i'm just using an ordinary Interstate battery.
