Lightweight setup

heavy hitting and lightweight doesn't usually go well together. you can probably get a single spl geared 12, and make a ported enclosure out of birch. if done right, it will slam pretty hard and wont weigh THAT much.
what's your budget? how much trunk room you're willing to give up?

Well i really dont want to go over $400-$500 for my setup, but if something good can b had for less, then ill take that too lol. Ive already got a small amp for my car speakers, now i need subs and an amp for them. And i looked up the Critical Mass UL12, and they were like $599 for 1 sub! I wish i could, but i think that sub is a little out of my range lol

Look into a Image Dynamics IDMax 10" in a ported box. Or if you can afford it, IdMax 12" in a ported box. Will hit very hard. Or for something alittle more budget friendly, a pair of Image Dynamics IDV.3. 12". These can be installed in a relatively small box, and hit pretty good.
