Speaker to RCA

Hey all,
How is everyone?

I have a 2006 Nissan maxima with the BOSe and Navigation. I currently replaced all my speakers and added a sub! We intergrated a JL Audio Processor and summing device to work with my 3 jl amps. The problem is over time these processors have gone bad! I want to know if the speaker outs of the Radio are flat signals with no Crossover in place or are the each independently crossed over?

Is it as easy as just adding RCA ends to the Speaker leads or do I need a Line Level convertor?

Happy Fourth!!!

Yes, it's been done for years like that. The signal was/is processed through the original bose amps, so the signal you get from the output of the bose is unprocessed, clean signal.

If you wanna go from speaker level inputs to RCA you'll need a line level converter.

I have one I can sell ya for $15 shipped.

WRONG. Actually worse than wrong if coming from the HU itself. That would be an attempt to convert a low level to a low level.

So Pearl,
If I come off the Head Unit with RCa straight to my AMP I am good to go? What kind of voltage do you think I will be getting and is it worth wild to put a manual eq on it?

Yes you'll be fine. Just tap/splice them in.

Voltage - not sure. But knowing Bose, it's probably 2v, if that.
