no, if u look i had to cut a lil bit cause the board was too thick... but what im planning on doing is get a peice of cardboard (or whatever that material is called that is over the spare tire in the trunk) carpets it the same color and cut out the area for the sub and spray glue it on the surround of the rear deck, so it looks like one flat peice and just the sub comng out of the carpet

What thickness board is that? It looks really thick..... if you used a 1/2" or 5/8" mdf, do you think the stock cover would fit over it?

Nismo where is the best place to get a pair of these?? There exactly what I need and 2 think I was ready to pull out the Sawzall for nothing

just bought the carpet today... still procrastinating on the amp... however i did find the amp im going to buy... just kinda focused on my coilover/suspension right this second

just for an update... The KICKER C8 sub is not a free air sub... pure false advertisment, just finished the setup and it was as if i did nothing, the sub never even moved

If the sub didn't move, somethings not right. How did you get signal to the amp? Did you adjust hte gain?

yes... the amp got signal... the sub moved but extremely minimal, even with gain tuned all the way up, the sub probebly moved 2mm up and down
