only one remote wire
new headunit review(JVC kd-r900)
My stereo came in today and so did my harness. I am at home trying to solder it together and ran into a small problem. The stereo I got only has one remote wire on it but the harness has 2 remote wires(amp+antenna).
1)does the power antenna wire have to be connected
2)if so can I connect both the amp and the antenna wires to the single remote wire on the headunit?
also the pac unit only has a 12v(red)wire, does that mean it only works when the car is on and not in the acc position?
The car is an 02 Maxima with Bose and the stereo is a JVC kd-r900.
Thanks

just finished, what a pain in the ***
the screws from the stock stereo were too short to be used in the new one, had to go to home depot, and the pac gave me some trouble.
I wired the USB/Ipod cable to the glove box and the bluetooth microphone to the a-pillar.

ok so everything is done, I had to remount the stereo this morning because I needed to move the climate control forward a little bit in order to sit flush
so far everything is great and I am real happy with the stereo
*bluetooth works great, people cannot tell I am on speakerphone even on the highway going 60
*sound quality is way better then the stock stereo whether playing FM or music from my ipod
*ipod wire is routed to the glove box so it's completely out of sight and I have full control from the headunit
*the Bose amps do not make any cracking noises like some people complain about, I was worried about it but it's great
*the volume is loud, around the same as factory headunit but cleaner(5v outputs and 7551 harness)
*SWI-Jack works fine(programming was a PITA, instructions suck), there buttons need to be pressed a little longer then with the stock unit but much better then not having the steering wheels controls at all
*the Scosche mounting kit is not great but from doing research it's the best besides buying a GXE kit and drilling the original metal bracket
*I had to buy longer screws because the ones removed from the factory headunit were too short to mount the headunit
**overall for a 190 dollar headunit I couldn't be happier
