Unplug your stock sub, use a line out converter(converts speaker wire to RCA outputs), then connect the RCAs to your amp. that way you will have a stong audio signal going into your amp. Depending on what amp/sub you have or decide to go with, you will only have to turn up the gains only slightly.

I did the same thing on my G35 before installing my AVIC Z2. I was happy with it!

on the LOC there is a right and left + and - u have to splice both side +s from the + on the sub and use the sub - for both sides as well, u will have to run a remote wire as well. a local shop did mine a while back but i ended up going with an aftermarket HU anyways

^^Yup! Some may have an additional brown or black wire. Those will not need to be connected unless you have some sort of feedback in the system. can't say I have needed to hook them up in the 10+ years of installing

ok so i bought the loc (line our converter) and hooked it up like one you guys said and it sounds great(well as good as it can sound with a stock h/u) but i cant find where to connect my remote wire to. i tried the red power wire but that has constant power (on even when the car is off). i cant seem to find the right one. well i only tried the red one because it got too late. maybe one of you knows the schematic for the remote on for the stock bose sub. there are 5 wires, i got most of them figured out obviously. white (positive) small black (negative) red (power) bigger black wire (negative ground) and green (possibly the remote turn on for the bose sub?) i guess ill figure it out tomarow.

For future reference, an LOC isn't really required.
