Installing 8 or 10 inch free air sub but keep it looking stock

I have a 4th gen Maxima with the stock Bose sound system with a Kenwood headunit. The car is wired for subs and I previously had two 10 inch no name subwoofers in the trunk that came with the car and a 500watt amp.

They were REALLY bad subs and I wasn't a fan of having that huge box in my trunk either so I took them out and am looking to go open air.

I have done some research, I've searched this forum and a lot of other forums and it seems like for the money a good free air sub is either the 8 inch DLS Audio OA8 or the 10 inch OA10. If anyone has any better ideas definitely let me know!

Anyway, my dilemma is that I am wondering where I can mount this in my 4th gen without taking up much trunk space as well as keeping the car looking fairly stock.

One idea I had was mounting it between the two rear bose speakers and then getting the Bose speaker grill out of a 5th gen to cover it up? Anyone have any ideas?

That's the route that I'd go definitely. It would look nice and clean as well as sound great.

take a look at me sig. IB is the way to go.
I would use a pair of dyn mw 190's in IB firing thru the stock 6x9 holes in the rear deck.
what are the specs on the amp you already have? because you coul dpossibly use that. i say call Don he can probably get you outfitted with these at a very reasonable price. after installing my esotar 1200 in my truck I wont go with anouther brand of sub again. its just not worth it to do anything else.

What all would be involved with installing it between the two rear Bose speakers and using the 5th gen subwoofer grill? Would it pretty much be as simple as routing out a hole on the shelf for the sub, drilling holes, bolting it on, and that's it? What size is the 5th gen subwoofer grill and how does it attach to the shelf?

If anyone has any info on that, it would be great! Thanks!

Also, I know a lot of factory setups in other cars such as Subarus and Audis normally locate a sub in the sides of the trunk somewhere. Unfortunately I am not home and don't have access to my car to check it out, but are there any spots along the side of the trunk that could be used as well?
