Wiring Guru's help needed!

OK I made a video of this because it was too hard to try and explain without people thinking I'm crazy.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDCruFkhOec

The camera SUCKS. Here's what happens. Wiring up a whelen slimlighter. Connect + and - wires on the bar itself to the battery, ALL LEDs work just fine! Works great! ... I connect the power wire from the light bar to a connection on a 3 prong switch, and a wire running from the + battery terminal to another prong on the switch. I run the ground directly to the battery in the deminstration...

What happens when I run the light bar to a switch is that only 8 LEDs on the bottom of each side of the light bar will light up.
Summary = battery directly = fine
Switch = only 8 LEDs light up on each side.

Switch is 20 amps. I ran the light bar to a 10 amp fuse in the engine compartment and it worked fine all LEDs lit up so I don't think its the switch itself, not sure
