so im going down the road today, and my subs start stutering, like on and off. now this had happened before because the bass from the subs had been knocking the ground wire out from the app, but this time when i checked, all the wire were in good. also i noticed when its at low volume it does not do this.

also i have gone through like 4 alternators in the like year and change because i had an oil leak right around the alternator, but i fixed that. also this alternator thats in now is going to have to change soon, because its making sort of a whistling sound, but it has been making that noise since i put it in about 3-4 months now. and through all these bad alternators it has been this same battery.

yesterday i also saw my headlights diming when the volume was about midway, but thats understandable

and lately my driver window has been going up and down slower than the others, probably the motor though

is my battery giving out a low amount of voltage? or is there something else?

 

sounds like another bad alt...

how the heck are you going through so many alternators?

get a multimeter and measure the voltage at the battery with the car running. it should be around 14.4v

 

stampy, he said oil was dripping on the alts.

 

but...he had that fixed...

 

Prob not before it dripped on this last alt..


Maybe he's running a gagillion watts rms?

 

my buddy went through 3 dud autozone alts, switched to a napa and never looked back. So it could be another alt..

I would have your battery checked as well
