HD Radio Help

Ok... so I have an HD ready sony headunit for my girls car, and for Christmas I got her the HD reciever. Well we installed it today, it was pretty much self explanatory.. but I did notice today while driving the car around, that either the station on "HD" fades in and out or it repeats its self, like if someone rewinded it. At first I thought it was a glitch at the radio station, but it didnt a few more times on seperate stations. Anybody know what could be the problem??

Receiver is setup under the dash board. Everything is hooked up correctly.

Sounds similar to what i hear with my kenwood dnx9140 with the kenwood htc-hr200 connected to it.

The digital(HD) signals and the analog signals are not 100% in sync and will never be since the digital tuner must process error correction. When the digital signal fades or has too many errors to correct the tuner switches to the analog tuner. This causes the echo or repeat that your hearing. When the digital signal is good and error-free then the tuner switches back to the digital part of the tuner. On my kenwood i can set it only to play the digital signal but if the signal faded or had uncorrectable errors then i would have silence instead of the echo or repeat. I would rather put up with the echo.
