Stock Bose Unit Question

Will an 00-01 Bose unit fit in an 02? I just want to keep a stock unit, but i don't want to deal with the 02-03 problems. Just the simple Question. Thanks!

It will fit and work (I tried it) but steering wheel controls will not...
