Help

I'm trying to find a good sub/amp combo to finish off my stereo. I've got an '03 Max 6 Sp. Front components are Rainbow Audio CMX components with matching Rainbow Ipaul Amp. I want a sub/amp combo that won't break me, but sounds good as well. My H/U is an Eclipse AVN 6620. What do you guys suggest? I have been looking at Memphis Audio subs lately for some reason, but haven't heard them in a long time. Any help would be well appreciated. Thanx.

Somewhere around $1k. I'm also looking at possibly customizing the rear deck to hold a 10" What are your thoughts?

You will have to reinforce the rear deck considerably to hold a 10". A lot of sound deadening will also have to be done. Are you thinking of going infinite baffle or building an enclosure and firing through the rear deck?

You probably can build an enclosure from the bottom of the trunk up to the rear deck and let it open through the deck......the enclosure will support the weight of the sub and if done right..will even help keep the rear deck from flying all over the place as the sub fires.....I do agree with afronaut.....you will want to have decent sound deadening for that set up.....especially if you decide to go infinite baffle.....

Thought about doing IB. I want to do something like what Nismopc is talking about in the thread named,"10 Inch sub in stock bose Hole" I'll definately have to do alot of deadening, like you guys said. The "Blose" already makes it rattle. I could only imagine what a good sub would do to the rear deck. Thanks for the advice. Any more advice for me??
