It does go under the seat. It produces a vibration you would feel from a bass note with a subwoofer.

I've heard good things about it but never actually seen one installed in person.

Wow, they go for 350 at Crutchfield, so for $700 for front seats, you're still going to need a sub in the back to fulfill the hearing needs...it just doesn't seem all that practical. Cool idea though...would work great under seats in a movie theater/home theater...

I think the idea is that you don't have to do as large of a subwoofer with it. The vibration is more for the feeling... people outside the car don't have to hear the trunk rattling.

Smaller, I get it, but with the under seat coponents and teh "smaller" sub, might just be more prudent and cost effective to get the bigger sub...

At least you don't have to buy sound deadening so the price diff might not be all that much in the end.
