Amp to drive stock sub

So I got a new headunit and component speakers for the front. Problem is, since I connected my line out to the bose inputs, now I have no bass, as the signal is apparently too weak. I want to toss an amp in back to at least drive the sub once again, but I know the bose speakers are non-standard. I have heard the sub is 1-ohm. Is this true? Are there any relatively cheap 1-ohm stable amps that can drive this sub so I can get some bass back? I am not looking to spend tons of money to build a new system, and I want to keep the stock sub so I can still use my trunk. Any suggestions?

Not really ideal, but you could get a cheapo amp on that bose, better bet is to get a decent 2 channel amp and a 4 ohm sub to replace the bose with.

Yea, but where can I find an after market open-air sub that will fit in the stock location?

Search online. There's also a search function on the .org. The subs are all over the place. I know I've found a few myself searching for other stuff. Not trying to be an @ss, but you've got to help yourself a little. Learn to use the search and it'll answer most of your questions. Our cars are not new. Someone has done whatever you are looking for before you. B-E-Z.

I have searched and that is why I am asking on here. Everyone else seems to be talking about modifying the hole to fit a larger sub, or to put larger subs in boxes. I cannot find a new 8" IB sub anywhere for the life of me, or I would not have asked about it.

Try image dynamics idv3's a dual 2 ohm version will do well off a 2 channel bridged.
