Need help ASAP with sub
So the wires managed to get unhooked on one side of my box, so I need pull a sub out to make sure I hook them back up right. Problem is I cant for, for the life of me, get the sub out of the box. Seriously Mike did an awesome job at making the opening just big enough for the sub to fit in. any idea's on how to get the sub out? Thanks peeps

I've used a panel tool and a towel a few times in the past with success. My solo was stuck in it's old box pretty good and I had to do that. It had been in there for 8 years! I didn't have as tight of a trim ring as your box does though. (If it's the box I'm thinking of)
You could try using a pick or something and try prying using the screw holes. Not sure if that would be enough force though.

Also, you can use a drill battery to determine if your wires are hooked up right or not.
Hook the wires up to the battery on the woofer that you know is wired correctly. Pay attention to whether or not the woofer pushes outward or sucks inward. Wire the other side up, then check using the same battery and wiring configuration. If the woofer goes the opposite direction, it's wired backward.

I misunderstood you, I thought you had one side that was still wired up correctly so you could use that one as a reference. If I get some time I'll check, if not, roll over to a friend's house with a drill battery in hand and find out.

Crutchfield to the rescue.
What is a battery pop test?
FYI : I use a Makita 9.6v battery for this. I wouldn't try it with a large battery as you can damage your speakers like this. Just don't do it for too long at one time and it should be fine. I've done this hundreds of times in cars (including my own) and never lost a speaker.

I havent done it yet. Ive been busy all weekend with a cruise all day saturday and Import Alliance sunday, and then I had some papers to fill out for a lawyer. Now I need to go to the local stereo shop and see if I can buy a few feet of wire, because I dont want to but 100 feet, I only need 4

Assuming your talking about the wire that hooks from the amp to the box, and not the from the inside of the box to the sub itself, just do like stated before do a battery pop test on the sub(s) and you'll be able to find out which is positive and negative and then hook them up as needed for it to hit right... Instead of going through the process of taking the subs out etc etc.

So if you're just needing to fix the wiring and don't actually want to remove the sub permanently, don't. Use a battery and pop the speakers man. If you pull that woofer and break the seal you might have a hard time getting it to seal up good again. Or are you wanting to remove the woofer completely to change it out or something.

I realize I'm just somebody on a forum, so I understand if you don't want to take my word for it. But just Google "battery pop test", there's plenty of people who support this technique. Oh and in the link from Crutchfield they give you some recommended battery sizes that are household so you can probably just snag a battery from something in your place. I probably wouldn't use a 19.2v drill battery either. Better safe than sorry.
Anyway, good luck man.

Hey man, saw your thread on MWCAP. I misunderstood you from the first post I suppose. I thought the wires came off and you were just trying to figure out which way was correct. Did they come off of the sub and you can't get them hooked back up without removing it or were you able to hook them back up and just trying to determine the proper polarity?

Finally got the sub out. Believe me, I marked the box with a silver sharpie just so it wont be a PITA again. Also used an idea from MWCAP to mount my amp. Since brackets were broke, I used some plastic plumbers strap to mount it. Worked pretty good
