And you would roll your eyes why? Its not a bad deal, and it isnt a bad quality product. While I wouldn't use it in my system, there are always people who want a budget system, dont have much cash at all, and are looking for a good deal. There's nothing wrong with that at all. Not everyone has your budget for equipment.

Great lecture. Thanks dad. I roll my eye's cuz it's nothing special and I highly doubt it's worth anything.

And don't you think it's kinda odd "their price" is "150" But you can get it for 29.99.

It usually goes most places for around $60 or so. I have used them before for cheap installs, and yes, it sounds pretty good for a budget system. They buy them on closeout, and sell them cheap. They usually on there go for around $50. Again the enclosure alone is rock solid, and is worth the price.

Sudz, as far as my donation goes, thats my business. I'm loosing my job at the end of Jan, and I am having to replace my tranny to boot. I was doing good to buy a 16 yo kid a box, and donate a little to the Org. How much did you donate?

humm.... Good luck.I got my first subs and box from ebay-$30 for 2 tens and ported box...it sucked. It rattled and the box was shaking loose when I turned it on. I immetiately replaced it the same day with some RFs in a bandpass box and sold the other one to my friend for $20.

Get what you pay for

You get what you pay for. If price was what we wanted the JC whitney catalog would be the good of the car audio industry. They've got 50 dollar amps that put out 1 point 21 jigawatts.

Thanks for the deal. I could see how the box alone is worth it.
Fact is, as long as you like the sound, that's all that matters.

Whitemax, don't worry about any of these losers.

Some of these dolts go crusing around tumping their high-dollar
systems all day long thinking that chicks dig them. However,
everyone knows that the "My Speaker Cables cost $50/inch" crowd
are just trying to compensate for something in their lives that
is not quite up to snuff, if you know what I mean.

Well, technically I fall into that group with my system but I know that not everyone can drop a few grand into their car. This is just a simple inexpensive solution that DOES work, if you just want a little bump in the low end.......

I wouldn't be quite that harsh. I think they just missed the point of the post whaich is that there are affordable alternatives available. A good 99.9% of people just don't listen carefully enough to the music to know the difference between Ultimate and say Martin Logan, M & K, Accuton, Focal, oh yeah, better not leave off your favorite, Dynaudio. How the heck did Dynaudio end up at the end? Must be a typo. But most will know exactly what I mean.

Like Jmax said you don't have to be rude. I admit, I don't have the best system, after all I've got Jensen's for my subs. But I didn't start buying audio equipment to impress anybody. I bought it for the sole reason of having some bump in my car, even if it does suck. But they aren't all that bad with the windows up you can hear quite a bit at 20 feet with the volume bar about ¼ of the way up. Not everybody with loud bass plays it loud all the time. The only reason I am upgrading my system is to make it sound better to me, not for some chick (I don't need a system to do that, I am a pimp after all). Also I don't need to compensate for anything because it is all that and a bag of chips, if YOU know what I mean. But what you did say about the box being worth it is valid.
