Factory Nissan Navigation Units in Older Gens
Has anyone tackled this yet?
Specifically, has anyone retrofitted a 2007-2009 Nissan Altima factory nav radio into a 4th Gen?
Looking at something like this:
If the plugs/harness can be had, it should be a matter of getting pinouts on the new radio and making it work, right?
I'm a sucker for upgrading within OEM offerings...

Anyone? Seems I can get one of these units along with all the plugs/partial harnesses/gps receiver, etc.
I'm OK with something complicated to pull it off, but I'd rather not be the first if I can help it. They call it being on "the bleeding edge" for a reason...
Also - wondering if there's an iPod / Sat Rad integration for this unit (?)

Its not worth it. You would have to run a new harness, here are seriously like 10 plugs in the back of this HU. Believe me I used to install these everyday at the nissan plant. Find a quality aftermarket navi unit, it will be so much better than this one
You would also need to find the navi antenna for that HU
How bout this

Thanks for the input. While as enamored I am with the factory look, I've got to say that the Pioneer that you linked to is a great option. I was only seriously looking at an Alpine model, but really wanted to match the factory illumination. I'm glad to see that I can do that with this model.
