Removing factory BOSE stereo. HELP?!

Yes I have searched with no success.

For those with audio/video experience, here is my problem while removing factory stereo.

1. Removed trim around gearshift.
2. Removed center vents.
3. Removed the (4) screws holding the mounting brackets in place.

Now this is where I am having trouble. When I go pull the whole assembly (stereo/AC unit) out of the dash, it doesn't come out. I compared it to video posted below. That dudes just pulls right out on to his lap where you disconnect the wiring harnesses (at 2:40 on the video). I cant really see behind it, but it feels like one of the bundles of wires is really tight and holding it back. It will only pull out about 2 inches.

Anyone have any tips, pointers? Am I missing something?

Sounds like they didn't give you much extra pull. Could be the antenna lead holding you back. Try coming in from the side, or popping out the glove box to come from behind.

This is what I would do.....

I say reach in from the bottom and try to disconnect the climate control harness, it's easier to take off than the stereos harness. Play with it a little, move it around, see if you can unhinge the tight wire or something. If it's the antenna thats stuck, see if you could reach it at the bottom right corner of the stereo. Mine went as far as the shifter, so I had to turn it on its side to remove the harnesses. Good luck.
