Has anyone tried to build an enclosure in your door to make a box? I know making a box for any speaker helps out more than it needs to with bass response. really wanting to replace door speakers with amplified ones

also does anyone know mounting depth of the rear doors?

Crutchfield probably has the mounting depth for the rears.

a lot of aftermarket speakers are designed to play free air...so building a box to house them might make them sound a bit peaky during certain frequencies. i would experiment first before diving into this project.
