Just wanted to let everyone know I got the $29 Parts Express sub today, and this is one WELL built box. I dont know about the sound quality, but the build quality is great. It accepts up to 8 ga. speaker wire as well. 5 way binding posts, 3\4" walls, with a 1" baffle. We'll see how it sounds.

It's a bit more, I prefer the look of it. But it's another option for budget. Let us know how it works out with that box you got for yout friend I'll also post how this one is too.
