PAC SWI-PS wiring on 2003 Maxima with Pioneer AVIC-D3

Hey guys!

Just received the final part of my stereo install and have a question.

In the paper that came with the SWI-PS it says:
Code:
- Connect 150ohm resistor to Blue/Yellow wire
- Connect 47ohm resistor to Green/Black or Red wire
- Connect free ends or resistors to the interfaces White wire
- Connect Brown/White to ground
HOWEVER, on the PAC website the info is a little different (link):
Code:
- Connect a 150 ohm resistor to pin 27 (blue/yellow)
- Connect the free ends of the resistors to the INTERFACE'S White wire
- Connect pin pin 26 (green/black or red) in the vehicle connector to INTERFACE'S White wire
- Connect pin 29 (brown/white) in the vehicle connector to Ground
As you see, on the website it does NOT say to add a 47ohm resistor to pin26. Can someone please confirm if the 47ohm resistor is needed?

Thanks.

Thank you so much for many useful responses and ideas! LOL

I went ahead and put that 47ohm resistor in there (pin 26) along with 150ohm resistor (pin 27), everything seems to work fine. Programming of SWI-PS is NOT tricky at all as some say - just re-read the instructions a couple of times if you do not understand them, it is very straight-forward!

Tee-hee!

thanks for being the guinea pig, I will keep this in mind for my install. Hopefully it works for the long run.

the website will always be the most updated, it probably would've worked either way. pretty sure they stopped making the PS and now its the PAC-RC which does all radios...
