dynamat on rear deck....
whats the easiest way to access the rear deck to put on sum extreme dynamat? my box is too high to just put it straight on through the trunk and i dont really wanna take it out unless i have to...is it possible to remove the rear deck, dynamat it, and put it back on or am i smoking something i shouldnt be?

There is a press board cover over the metal rear deck. The press board is held in place with plastic push pins. Remove the board as described above, clean the deck, clean the deck two more times, and cover with your damping material. You can also adhere a thin layer of carpet padding to the underside of the press board.

holy cow this is an old thread!
but yes you have to take off the c-pillars to take off the rear deck. they're just all clips spread along the deck so just pop them out carefully...just be patient about it
what year maxima? careful when trying to take out the rear c-pillars if you have a 6th gen. i'm not sure how it's like on other gens, but on the 6th gen...there are high pressure canisters for the side curtain airbags. so don't simply stab something back there and pry around randomly.
