5.5 gen double din install

I am looking to upgrade my deck. This is the unit i would like to get.
http://goo.gl/42aNi It is a JVC KW-AVX840. For those running double din decks were you able to use a off the shelf install mounting kit? Or custom fit it?
Going off of the crutchfield site its saying it doesn't fit and I know I've seen 5.5s with dinX2 decks installed ...

If you want the cleanest install, get a GXE kit

WRONG.

They're similar, but not the same shape. GXE kit will fit aftermarket decks. Nav trim will not.

Probably cheaper if you order it from www.courtesyparts.com or www.nissanpartsasap.com

And, so that it's not a sticker shock, the part is approximately $120-$130 last I checked. You can also try to find one in the classifieds section.

Kenwood DDX419 Install Help

Sorry to hijack thread but I don't have posting privelages yet. Here is my situation/questions:

2003 Maxima SE (150,000 miles purchased for 16yr old son 3 weeks ago). It has factory bose radio w/o Nav in car. Everything works but CD player. It has steering wheel controls. Anyway, he is looking to update the head unit only with the new Kenwood DDX419. There is a certified installer who works on the side who will put this in. I have done a ton of reading on other threads and google research but still am not clear on some things. fyi - my son has a iPhone 4s so he will want this hooked up as well.

fyi - We will have the Axxess ASWC steering wheel adapter and the audio/video adaptor KCA-ip22F installed.

Here are my questions:

Which wire harness will we need - Metra 70-7550 or 7551?

We are looking to hook up a back up camera - any recommendations and why? I have seen them from $7 to $400. Wired or wireless?

Do we need the Metra 95-7416G or 7417 bracket?

Which antenna adapter do I need - Scosche Ndab diversity antenna?

Any other thoughts or recommendations? I really don't want to have to replace speakers and buy a sub, amps as the car just isn't worth putting any more money into it.

Any help provided would be greatly appreciated!

The deck has 4v preouts. Thus, you can use Metra 70-7551.

I would get the Kenwood branded camera for ease of install, proper interface, and decent quality.

Metra 95-7416G is the right dash kit.

Scosche Ndab diversity antenna will be fine.

You're pretty much on the right track, everything above is all you need for the install, provided the installer is semi decent.
