installation for subwoofer question

I have an 04 i35 with Bose and wanted to know can I splice the wiring from the trunk (as in the wiring from the Bose sub) to my line out converter instead of taking out my head unit? Of so what wires would o splice? I want to keep my door speakers and so I already know the Bose amp is staying I just wanted to unplug my Bose sub and run a seperate amp and sub. I hope this makes sense I'm typing from my phone at work. Any links on converters recommended and wiring guides are welcome. Thanks in advanced

hi if you have the stock sub you can unbolt the amp from the bottom of the sub and use the positive and negative from the amp to the sub they'll be two sets one on each side of the sub just use one and attach the hi lo and then bolt the amp back on

yes a regular hi lo would be fine and when you drop the amp off the sub there should be 2 wires going to each side of the sub 1 per voice coil could be red blacl black is negitive or green grey it written on the terminals of the sub what positive and negative are
