Will it even fit?
Evening all, So the one thing on my car i've never touched is the radio. Nor had i had any plans, until i got a good deal on a brand new http://www.amazon.com/JVC-KWAV60BT-K...8328169&sr=8-1
Friend of mine bought it, and then decided he wanted a higher end unit. Never installed it so it's brand new. he gave it to me but i figured i'd throw a couple of cases of beer at him. Few things i wanted to know, is: Is it a decent system? Obviously it's NOT going to be amazing. Will it even fit into the dash of a 2000 Maxima SE? i measured the radio area and i think it's approx 7.x wide by 4.x tall? (the radio space, in inches)

I'm on my phone so i can't really get much out of the mobile amazon page, but it seems pretty good. My head unit (alpine cda105) is only 16w (or 18? I don't even know) and it doesn't distort unless it's at unbelievably high levels (too loud to listen to). That one that you have is 20w. If your interested in getting a subwoofer or amplifying your speakers, check that it has RCAs (most likely does, I just can't get to the part that says it does lol).
Itll most likely fit. You could try going on crutch field and putting in your car and seeing if they sell it and say it fits?
I doubt I was much help lol, but good luck!

You're welcome. I'm assuming you already know this, but just in case..be very carful when removing the trim and vent to get at the original head unit. If you use screw drivers like i did, you have to make sure you have a cloth in between the screw driver head and the trim. Sadly it scratches very easily :/. And the cage that the head unit and climate controls are in can make pretty nice scratches too.

hate to say it, but jvc is not one of the better touch screens. its fine functionality wise, you might notice a slow refresh rate between screens, thats cause their processor is kinda slow. take your time with it, and have fun!!!!
