Replacing '99 Bose HU

I am wanting to replace my '99 stock Bose HU with a Double-DIN aftermarket unit with USB, Aux-in, Bluetooth, Satellite Radio, and Android compatibility. I am starting to lean towards the JVC KW-R900BT

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KWR9...T.html?tp=5684

I'm pretty new to car audio installation so I want to be sure of exactly what I need. From what I've read on the .org I will need the Metra 70-7551 harness and the 40-NI10 antenna adapter. Will this work or do I need the Nissan/Infiniti Factory Integration Adapter that Crutchfield recommends? Will this unit's 5V preamp voltage work well with the Bose amps/speakers? Is there any other mounting hardware that I will need?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Replacing '99 Bose HU

Well after further investigation, I have come to the conclusion that with 5V preamp outputs, I should be fine using only the Metra 70-7551 harness. Someone please correct me if I am mistaken. I forgot to mention in my first post that I would also be ordering the 2 Din Metra 95-7417 dash kit as well. If anyone has any experience with this HU or recomendations for other HUs please chime in. Thanks.

I got the HU that is one level below the one you're looking at (bought mine from crutchfield as well)...the JVC KWHDR81BT and I love it. I don't have the bose so I'm not sure about what specifically you're going to need but I like Crutchfield

You don't by chance use an Android phone with your unit do you? Satellite radio? Just wondering how well they work together.

Android phone, yes.

Sat radio? no, but iirc mine's upgradeable.

I mainly use the (included) bluetooth for audio streaming, but it's got both the USB port in front as well as line-in jack up front. great audio quality via BT, haven't used the line-in. JVC has an app that you can download ( smart remote) that lets the android phone control the head unit...pretty nice

Thanks for the info. Sounds pretty cool. I've been listening to mp3s and XM through the tape deck for years. Wires hanging everywhere. My CD player died about a month after I bought the car. I am anxious to hear what the JVC does for the Bose speakers.

I have a lot of music on my phone, so sometimes I'll throw the thing into BT audio mode and play th emusic on the phone...it's great. It also does the same w/ youtube vids (audio anyhow) and pandora on the phone.

i as gonna say something about the HD Radio but nm, that unit doesn't have it. takes a bit of getting used to (HD signal is 5 seconds after regular FM signal, so sometime if it doesn't sync up it'll echo slightly when switching to HD transmission), but no big deal really.

The more I read about the 70-7551 vs. Scosche Adapter, the less sure I am of which one to get. I new this was a highly discussed topic, but I can't seem to find a solid explanation. Right now I am 50/50 70-7551/Scosche.
