Question about Bose amps...

The PO replaced the Bose headunit with a cheesy Kenwood. The sound is lacking, to say the least. My plans are to go with a double-din touchscreen unit, components in the front doors, no rears, and a compact 8" or 10" sub in the trunk with a 4-channel amp driving all of it.

My question is about the wiring and the Bose amps. Does each speaker have its own integrated amp, or is there a separate "box" somewhere behind a kick panel? Thanks in advance for the info!
