good clean sound suggestions for high and mid staging?
good clean sound suggestions for high and mid staging?
i want to go ahead and get a jumpstart on the sound staging for my 02 maxima, i plan on replacing the high's and mids all around, im going to remove the entire bose system seeing as it in no way meets my needs in its current state.
i would like to keep the cost under $500 for the front/rear door replacement speakers, but can possibly alter the cost's as needed.
right now im looking at the JBL P660C component kit for the front speakers, the JBL 662S for the rear door speakers, and ill also add a pair of surface mount tweeters to the rear filler panels behind the back doors, but im not sure if that would detract from the front staging and make the sound worse.
I plan on using a sony mobile ES 3546 amp for the front stage, OR an american bass 160 watt amp, it depends on what i decide to use for my subwoofer amplifier.
currently i already have two american bass VFL 12" subwoofers dual 2 ohm voice coils, i have three sony mobile ES amps, two are 5046's (50x4 RMS at 4 ohm, 300x2 RMS at 1 ohm stereo) the other is a 3546 rated 35x4 RMS at 4 ohm, also 1 ohm stereo stable, i also have a 160 watt american bass 4 channel amp and a 1800 watt american bass mono amp. Ill decide on my headunit later.
my question is, does the front stage sound like a sound plan? i cant afford high end woofers like focal so im looking for decent sound quality without breaking my wallet entirely. does the JBL plan sound good? i realize im going to have to invest in some sound deadner also.
suggestions?

First ... There is only one 'stage'. It happens to be the front.
Second, if your concern is with the 'stage' then why are you at all concerned with rear speakers ? When is the last time you attended a concert with musicians or instrument Behind you ?
