I got a great deal on these bad boys... I had to snag em.

They are 1000rms a piece.

Im going to have them hooked up to a 1800 watt amp (Audio Pipe)

I can potentially push somewhere between 3-3500watts without them blowing, but I would need a separate battery or alternator (thats out the question $$)


They are in a sealed box with them facing up towards the top of the trunk.

Now I have no trunk LOL, but thats ok.


My question is, from what parts of the car would I receive any rattle from that you would hear outside the car. Im not trying to have it sound cheap and ratchet. I want good bass without the extra rattle you hear on these other old goofy looking cars. Thanks.

you're severely underpowering those subs, beef up your electrical!

that said, I'm a big fan of Hushmat, had several layers on my car.

Any 'mass add' rubber butyl dampening material will work. Dynomat is good, so is second skin, and hush mat. They are all essentially the same thing.
Just avoid the asphalt mat that is sold at home improvement stores.

You will want at least one layer on the entire trunk lid, and I would also do the rear fenders from inside the trunk. You can do the spare tire well as well for sound reasons, but it won't change the amount of vibration much.

under powered is worse for a subwoofer than overpowered, when underpowered you'll get alot more distortion.

True to an extent. That only applies when pushing the subs and clipping the amp.

That is completely untrue. Do your subs or speakers struggle when you turn the volume **** down?

Don from sound deadener showdown is absolutely the best person to talk to about deadening a vehicle.

^ what he said. you cant hurt a speaker by underpowering it. it may sound like *** but it wont harm it.

Those things are going to hit pretty hard. I'd recommend deadening everything possible... In the doors, below the carpet, the roof under the headliner, etc.

If you're going to do it, do it right the first time.

Hifonics Brutus brz2100.1 will push 2100 watts at 1 ohm. I have the brz2400. Amazing Amps for the price. Got mine from sonicelectronix.com run good power and ground. Got this on two 2012 12" alpine type R's also 1000 rms each. Amps are dirt cheap for the awesome power they put out.

O and I have super bad rattle no deadener at all
