Much Rattle, Even after Dynamat - Please Help?
Much Rattle, Even after Dynamat - Please Help?
This is from another thread... seems as if I posted in in wrong spot
I have a 2003 MAX SE
I got 2 15's and recently installed them with a decent amp and wiring kit.
I recently notice that nissan even put some factor deadening material inside the trunk (which ain't sht but every bit helps!)
Anyhow, they ran out of dynamat and still I have some spots to lay out some dynomat.
With that said, I have some powerful *** subs - Dynamats in but still get a nasty nasty rattle at higher sound levels.
I was wondering if anybody had any knowledge of where this car rattles the most and how to fix?
Anything else I can add to fix rattle issues??
Thanks.
MIND you - my car is already dynamatted.

now mind you much rattle is also gone as wel, but the trunk flexes (of course) and its too much, are there any looses ends in the stock sub unit? its not hooked up, but it rattle as well. Input please, any weak spots etc
Why do people think Dynamat eliminates rattles? Rattles aren't caused by air bouncing off bare metal, they're caused by plastic and or metal vibrating against one another.
With that in mind, find where it's coming from and insulate the parts of the car that are banging against each other.

Is the rear deck dynomatted as well....also the trunk lid could be foamed but must be done carefully so not to risk rippling the top of trunk from to much expansion....dynomatt the back of the plate ,and make sure your taillights are tight and anything else that's screwed down and around back there ,good luck..
