Kenwood still a good brand?

OK so I'm looking to upgrade my headunit again. I'm looking to get a double din DVD receiver and I came across what might be a good deal. Its a Kenwood ddx418, I'm just not sure how kenwood is now a days. So I was wondering if anyone has some input about Kenwood or even specifically that unit. I'm open to recommendations to Im just not looking to break the bank either maybe between $200 & $300 .

I ended up buying a Pioneer avh p3300bt with the navigation adapter and all the extra cables and bypasses for 325 on eBay. The listing was only up for 15 minutes when I saw it and it had had about a dozen bids on it so I did some quick research and did buy it now.
