I'm looking at buying a 1998 from a friend of mine. Recently, the display on the radio quit working, and the heater blower quit blowing on positions 1-3 (only works on the highest setting). The two problems happened at the same time. Are these symptoms of bigger electrical problems? In themselves, they are just annoyances, but if there are more complex issues behind these quirks I'd like to know what I'm getting into. Any ideas out there?

 

The fan only working on high is the blower motor resister. Most likely just coincidence. Both my maximas only work on high, been to lazy to fix em lol

Well that's good news! It's odd that the radio will still play, but maybe it's just a piece inside it that's gone out, too.
