Getting Bass from the trunk to the cabin?

2002 Nissan Maxima Non-Bose

Ok so my setup of 2 12" subs in a bandpass box with the ports facing the rear of the truck sounds great.... But it sound AMAZING when the rear seats or folded down!!!!!!!!

How can I maintain the amazing bass from the trunk to the cabin while having the seats up.

I had the idea of of cutting out the area in the rear deck where the Bose sub would be to act like a port.....then maybe buy just the Bose sub grill to clean it up a bit...thoughts?????

I already have 6.5 subs in the front doors but they really are set as mids on the HU (and aren’t that great in general). Stock rears door speakers set as mids on the HU.

The option you mentioned is a good idea. On my 02, I took out the factory sub when I installed my aftermarket gear.

Do you think I will get more rattles from the rear deck area by doing this. Should I just cut holes then use actual ports in them? I just hate the noises that come from the deck now ....i dont want to magnafy them by doing this.

Get some sound proofing on there. I used secondskin damplifier & rattle pad on mine.
