hey gurus I got the gf a pioneer in dash and boyo backup camera for her 12 maxima and have a few questions for you guys that have been there done that or at least know haha

So for the parking brake how do you bypass it or do I even need to bypass it?

On the pioneer wiring itself has a violet/white for the backup camera that your suppose to hook up to the signal on shifter for reverse?

And finally on the camera itself has a ground and power. Does that go to any power for when car is on or is that to a source of reverse aswell?*

I just put in a new head unit (boss) for my '01 the other day. To bypass the parking brake you simply ground it.

so after reading on the bypass I don't care about doing it


from what I searched I can wire the wire from the indash to the main reverse wire in car


and the 2 wires off the boyo to a ground and same wire if I want ?


can either tap into the light bulb or run wires up front and tap into batt and ground on in-dash or ground and same wire as reverse for indash?

hey everyone i got the everthing installed and only thing holding me back is finding where the reverse wire is in the car

help please !!

 

just a update got it all handled
white wire to a relay on top of the fuse block inside the car for camera..works perfect
also wired up the aswc-1 and you have to swap the wires around opposite of what axxess suggest to get it all to work right
