Remote Start question (Attn MaximaDave or others)

Hey, I know you need this 555U unit for a bypass to the coded key system. I know it is a unit where you install your "valet" key and it is always hidden up in the dash. What if I bypass the whole 555U by taking the "chip" out my coded key and just gluing or taping that bastard up near the steering column? I mean same thing in a sense.

As a matter of fact, I took the chip out once in my key, nice and small. The blue part is just a cap/holder for the chip.

I've never tried it that way but give it a shot and let us know what happens.
