This is a good head unit, but very pricey. Why don't you look around in places like ebay for something with the same features but substantially cheaper. Pioneer makes one called the 9200 that does all the same things, and has just as many features as the sony. I have an older version of it, the 7400, and I love mine.

sony's best products are the ES series. although this is supposably SONY's best, its not the best u can buy...... i think you wood be better off purchasing a rockford fosgate or an alpine head unit.....goto www.buyloud.com .......crutchfield is insanely expensive......buyloud also has a nice shipping policy.....10 dollars for orders over 99 bucks

yea you do pay a lot more from crutchfield, but theyre very easy to deal with if you have and problems and the technical support is great. your bound to be able to get it cheaper on the internet somewhere. try typing the model number in at yahoo shopping and look at all that comes up. but with a lot of these internet companys you dont know who your dealing with and if you have problems you might be sh*t outa luck

finny, YOU ARE A GENIUS. That is one of my exact point. No one is reliable unless it a big name company and with that comes price. Plus, they offer a installion mastersheet that helps me because i'm a idiot when it comes to installion.

I think it's pricey for the features you get. Maybe it's just me but if I were to pay $525 for just the head unit, it better be able to do everything and cook for me too. jk. Seriously, there are very comparable units out there for substantially less, but hey, if you're happy with your choice then go for it. Sony products are good anyway.
