Starter will not turn over when it is hot outside.

Hey, so I have been having this problem with my starter these past couple of weeks. Anytime my '95 Maxima has been sitting unused in temperature above approx. 80 degrees my starter will not work whatsoever; no turnover, nothing. However, when the outside temperature is in the 70's or below it starts immediately. I have thought, "Maybe it is a loose connection," but that doesn't make sense to me that this happens only when it is hot outside. Does anyone have any ideas?
