Stereo Installation Problems
Hello. I have two problems with my stereo.
Problem 1 :I have a '93 SE Max with the bose system. I bought an aftermarket CD player along with a device that would allow me to use the bose system with the aftermarket cd player. This is the second aftermarket cd player that has been in the Max with the bose device. When I hooked up my cd player, I was able to listen to the radio, but whenever I would put a cd in, no sound would come out. The cd player would change tracks and the seconds were ticking away normally. I know that the cd player works because I took it out of my old car and tried to install it in the Max within 2 hours after removing it. I triple checked all of the wires and had a few friends look at it, and no one could see anything wrong with the installation. Any suggestions would be helpful. The deck is a Panasonic CQ-DFX701U. Here is a link for the deck.

My second problem was running my 4 guage power wire. I couldn't find a grommet or a hole to run the power wire through. Once I do figure out how to get it through, I a website on where to run the wires and all of that junk. If anyone can help me, it would be very much appriciated. I'M GOING NUTS WITHOUT MY CD PLAYER AND SUB!! THIS SUCKS!
Thanks for your time,

there should be two blue wires comin out of the radios wiring harness. One solid and one with awhite stripe. It sounds like you hooked up the power ant lead to the amp turnon which doesnt supply a signal when you go to play a cd. the solid is usually power ant, white stripe is usually the amp turn on. check your wiring
